The J/121’s interior is simple, bright and offers a genuine sense of space. The L-shaped galley features an oven and a refrigeration unit, enabling you to head offshore with all the comfort you need.

Forward of the main bulkhead, you’ll find space to stow your sails, which is practical for hoisting or dumping your spinnaker.

ONE DESIGN

Sails

The J /121 boasts a large furling jib, a staysail with a removable forestay, a furling code zero and a large spinnaker with a snuffer. This equipment has been designed to simplify manoeuvres when sailing offshore.

Water Ballast

The J /121 features an easy-to-use ballast system capable of containing 400l of water each, compensating for the weight of the crew and hence facilitating sailing in shorthanded configuration.

Equipment

One design requires precise equipment in terms of deck hardware and sail area, resulting in an interesting race programme whilst limiting the expense of the arms race.

Sensation

The lightweight design of the J/121 enables it to take off in the slightest gust so it’s like sailing a 40-foot sports dinghy. One design racing is a guarantee of a thrilling ride!


MATERIALS

Composites

The materials for the sandwich and infusion composite construction are selected with precision so as to achieve the best possible combination of lightness/solidity on the market.

Keel

The keel is composed of a fully encapsulated cast iron fin keel and a lead bulb to obtain the greatest possible stability.

Rig

To offer you the highest standard of equipment on the market, the rig on the J/121 is the fruit of a very precise selection process.

Carbon

Opting for carbon for the rudder, mast and bowsprit brings lightweight design and performance.The carbon for the mast uses high modulus fibre.
